Application Guidelines
Each startup investor likes to observe a certain set of attributes when analyzing a startup. So do we, but know that we understand that "comply to all" is impossible. Angels want to know what stage you are and where you ask for help. The questionaire is not a final test, it is a starting point.
Product
For early-stage startups, it is not so important to have the perfect solution. You will validate, pivot, validate based on feedback from the market. It is important to have clarity about what makes your solution different from others and what the the business model is. Your product can be in beta - but investors need to understand the product your potential customers' needs.
Market
A good and realisatic understanding of your market is essential in your pitch. Solve a real problem for clients that want to to pay for it. Get informed on you target audience, their problems and their budgets to solve it. Ask market speciliast to help you, so you can make the best forecast for succes. Our angels can also share their experience.
Finance
Every start-up phase comes with different financial aspects. From Fools, Friends and Family to Venture Capital, eg from trust to proof. It is important to know what metrics you monitor, how your finance in structured and the impact of external financing on your "investability". And obvisouly: where does your company create value and how an monetize this if you sell your business. All investors want to get sell, you have to plan for that.
People
For investors your team is of great importance. Is it balanced in skills and knowledge, is everybody equally involved and are you ready to onboard investors. Also important is to know if you and your team are prepared to pivot: either in product or in business model. Can you distance yourself from your own "perfect plan" is it is not so perfect? Keep these aspects in mind, when planning your business and preparing for investors.
